A Funded Proposal is a great way to defray the costs of your lead generation.
The essence of a funded proposal is that you offer something of value to the prospect

Teaching Module Funded Proposal--Slide 1
This will be slide 1 of my Internet presentation. I wrote this in October 2006 for MDC. Tally Ho! Ouida
The buzz words are funded proposal.
Funded proposal means that you offer a product
or service for sale while collecting a lead.
This product or service will subsidize or
completely cover the costs of generating a lead.
So instead of paying the going rate of 6 dollars
for a self-generated lead on the internet, you pay
substantially less or nothing through a funded proposal.
Put another way, a budget of 300 dollars per month
will pay for 50 leads at 6 dollars per lead.
That same 300 dollars will pay for 100 leads at
3 dollars a lead through a funded proposal or,
for a completely efficiently executed proposal, that
300 dollars will pay for an infinite number of leads
if the entire amount 300 dollars is recouped through the
funded proposal.
The goal of these newsletters is to help you run as
efficient a proposal as possible.
In premarketing we have the statistics to help
you run an efficient campaign.
There are several ways to drive traffic to your site:

Classified Ad sites
Pay-per-click advertising

Napoleon Hill: Some Succeed...Others Fail...Why?
As some of you may know, I am slowly reading a collection of essays by Napoleon Hill entitled A YEAR OF GROWING RICH. Here's this week's essay:
"This question has mystified people since humans first became dissatisfied with cave dwellings and tried to find some way to make life more comfortable. Perhaps the following comparisons between the characteristics of a failure and a successful person will help answer the question.
The successful person knows precisely what she desires, has a plan for getting it, believes in her ability to get it, and devotes a major portion of her time to acquiring it. The failure has no definite purpose in life, believes that all success is the result of "luck," and moves on her own initiative only when forced to do so.
The success is a aster salesperson who has learned the art of influencing others to cooperate in a friendly spirit to carry out her plans and purposes. The failure finds fault with people. She goes out of her way to let them know about her critical attitude.
The successful person thinks before she speaks. She weighs her words carefully, and she emphasizes her likes concerning people, minimizing her dislikes or not mentioning them at all. the unsuccessful person does just the opposite. She speaks first, thinks lter. her words bring only regret and embarrassment and cost her irretrievable benefits because of the resentment they engender.
The successful person expresses opinions only after having informed herself so she can do so intelligently. The failure expressses opinions on subjects about which she has little or no knowledge.

She recognizes that the space she occupies in the world and the success she enjoys depend upon the quality and quantity of service she renders. She makes it a habit to render more service than she promises. The failure looks for "something for nothing" or something under the table which she did not earn. And when she fails to get it, she blames the greed of others.
The successful person has a keen respect for her Creator and expresses it frequently through prayers and deeds of helpfulness to others. The failure believes in nothing but her own desire for food and shelter and seeks those at the texpense of others when and where she can.
All in all, there is a big difference in both the words and the deeds of the successful person and the failure. But each person is where she is and what she is because of her own mental attitude toward herself and others.

Fitting in a business with a busy life
Now you have a clearly identified "Why" (Y>X see convention notes) you need to be get prepared. This should not take you longer than an of hour, I am not talking about 'getting ready to get ready'.
Here is what I do.

- I have a folder, use the one in your BDS.
- In there my names list, and my your printed leads,
- Application forms x 8. The first 4 are already filled in with sponsor and placement info. One for each leg. Once an application is filled in, I put the new associates info along with my sponsor info onto a fresh application.
- Latest pricelists of the countries I am working in.
- Master diary, depending on how you work this could be in paper form or use Outlook and back up to a PDA. This will make sure you don't double book appointments.
- Selection of leaflets, business cards and CD's/DVD's for prospecting on the go.

How can I fit a business into an already busy life?
Do you wonder how you can fit in a business into your already hectic life? I can, I have 5 kids between the ages of 3 and 18, and help in my husbands business, attend church several times a week.
The first thing to ask yourself is not 'how' can I do this, but 'why' am I doing this. Do you really have a desire to create a further stream of income? Use the FDA to Move Your Business Forward
I decided that I am tired of having the same old business cards....sooo I am getting rid of them and gaining new customers in the process.
The FDA is stepping in to regulate supplements....Frankly it is about time...but USANA is ALREADY in compliance.
I am simply going to people that I am doing business with already and asking them if they take supplements. A surprising number actually do. I then ask them if they know about the FDA regulations governing supplements. Many do not. I tell them that their manufacturer may have trouble with supply as they come into compliance with the FDA and that now is a great time to learn about USANA.
It works!

After 9 or 10 years or so of being "stuck," I am no longer Gold! I should send a certain person (B.M.) a "thank you" card for giving me the incentive. He was really the impetus for why I decided it was time to advance. He was the adversity in my life, ...the reason I needed to prove to myself and others that I have the will and the spirit, let alone the belief in myself and in this company to rise in the ranks and spread the message and vision of Dr. Wentz. I could no longer sit back in my comfort zone and just "take it." My will to succeed will always be greater than anybody's desire to stop me from spreading Dr. Wentz's vision. No fearful man who, and his followers can stop this good work of Dr. Wentz when we have the true spirit of this work within us. We know it is the right thing, the right company, the right products, the right compensation plan, ... that it is the real deal. I have worked closely with Dr. Wentz, with the Corporate leaders, the scientists, ... I have been on the "inside," and I know this is real with every fiber of my being. I have seen the difference these products make in the lives of others. I have seen the joy and happiness this company brings to others. The family this company provides. This is a true mission, a true calling. For those who don't get it, or don't see it, ...they will have a hard time succeeding. For those who do "get this," and see that there is no separation between the mission, the products and the business, they will succeed beyond their dreams, as long as they are committed. And, there is a difference between "wanting" to succeed and "being committed" to succeed. So, find your own " B.M." to give you your incentive to help you move from your comfort zone ... something that will give you enough reason, enough intention to MOVE FORWARD!
As far as making my "run" for advancement out of Gold, I was no more "ready" for this run than I had been at any time over the last several years. Nothing was different. The only thing that changed in me was my INTENTION. As I have gone through the Klemmer and Assoc. work, some of the things taught to me: "Intention + mechanism = Results" My "Intention," (or deepest commitment) was to get the highest rank advancement I could, that of Emerald Director before by Convention. The "Mechanism" was "how" I was going to do it. And the "Result" is me actually attaining that of "Emerald Director," which I did. If the Intention is so HIGH, as mine was (thanks to what happened to me, thanks to our friend, BM) then the "mechanism," or "how I got there" became irrelevant," meaning .... I was going to get there one way or the other. Maybe Emerald Director is not a BIG DEAL in the grand scheme of things, but to me it represents something huge. It is my "line in the sand," as Lynn Allen-Johnson likes to say. It is where I draw the line, and says, I'm here, and I'm on board, and nothing will stop me. I'm committed, and I'm ready to move!
What happened was that I was so determined, ....my team was so determined, .... our USANA spirit was so strong there was no way that this was not going to happen. And, the other saying by Klemmer and Associates is, "When the Intention is Clear, the Mechanism Will Appear!" And, sure enough, despite the set backs and struggles, things came about, "miracles" happened, legs were reactivated, people came aboard because they saw our spirit and passion, people were mobilized into action. My team came alive like never before. I am so proud of my team. I could not have done this without my team. So, the combination of my intention with my team as the mechanism was the key to the result. It was truly an amazing thing. The assistance from Lynn Allen-Johnson as my mentor, coach, and friend who gave me support cannot be understated. After 9 or 10 years or so of being "stuck," I am no longer Gold! I should send a certain person (B.M.) a "thank you" card for giving me the incentive. He was really the impetus for why I decided it was time to advance. He was the adversity in my life, ...the reason I needed to prove to myself and others that I have the will and the spirit, let alone the belief in myself and in this company to rise in the ranks and spread the message and vision of Dr. Wentz. I could no longer sit back in my comfort zone and just "take it." My will to succeed will always be greater than anybody's desire to stop me from spreading Dr. Wentz's vision. No fearful man who, and his followers can stop this good work of Dr. Wentz when we have the true spirit of this work within us. We know it is the right thing, the right company, the right products, the right compensation plan, ... that it is the real deal. I have worked closely with Dr. Wentz, with the Corporate leaders, the scientists, ... I have been on the "inside," and I know this is real with every fiber of my being. I have seen the difference these products make in the lives of others. I have seen the joy and happiness this company brings to others. The family this company provides. This is a true mission, a true calling. For those who don't get it, or don't see it, ...they will have a hard time succeeding. For those who do "get this," and see that there is no separation between the mission, the products and the business, they will succeed beyond their dreams, as long as they are committed. And, there is a difference between "wanting" to succeed and "being committed" to succeed. So, find your own " B.M." to give you your incentive to help you move from your comfort zone ... something that will give you enough reason, enough intention to MOVE FORWARD!
As far as making my "run" for advancement out of Gold, I was no more "ready" for this run than I had been at any time over the last several years. Nothing was different. The only thing that changed in me was my INTENTION. As I have gone through the Klemmer and Assoc. work, some of the things taught to me: "Intention + mechanism = Results" My "Intention," (or deepest commitment) was to get the highest rank advancement I could, that of Emerald Director before by Convention. The "Mechanism" was "how" I was going to do it. And the "Result" is me actually attaining that of "Emerald Director," which I did. If the Intention is so HIGH, as mine was (thanks to what happened to me, thanks to our friend, BM) then the "mechanism," or "how I got there" became irrelevant," meaning .... I was going to get there one way or the other. Maybe Emerald Director is not a BIG DEAL in the grand scheme of things, but to me it represents something huge. It is my "line in the sand," as Lynn Allen-Johnson likes to say. It is where I draw the line, and says, I'm here, and I'm on board, and nothing will stop me. I'm committed, and I'm ready to move!
What happened was that I was so determined, ....my team was so determined, .... our USANA spirit was so strong there was no way that this was not going to happen. And, the other saying by Klemmer and Associates is, "When the Intention is Clear, the Mechanism Will Appear!" And, sure enough, despite the set backs and struggles, things came about, "miracles" happened, legs were reactivated, people came aboard because they saw our spirit and passion, people were mobilized into action. My team came alive like never before. I am so proud of my team. I could not have done this without my team. So, the combination of my intention with my team as the mechanism was the key to the result. It was truly an amazing thing. The assistance from Lynn Allen-Johnson as my mentor, coach, and friend who gave me support cannot be understated. Boy oh Boy does the government take a long time. USANA was finally awarded the patent for self-preserving technology that makes the Sensé products so special. USANA applied for the patent in 2004! Crystal Inn, 230 West 500 South, Salt Lake City, UT. DO NOT RESERVE THIS BY GOING TO THE HOTEL'S WEBSITE OR BY CALLING THE HOTEL - DO AS EXPLAINED BELOW, BECAUSE IT IS A BLOCK RATE FOR THE USANA CONVENTION; AND I DON'T THINK THAT THE HOTEL ACTUALLY HAS ANY ROOMS AVAILABLE EXCEPT FOR THOSE IT IS HOLDING FOR USANA. It is the glue that will keep you motivated and connected to creating consistent and persistent action. Be as specific as possible. In two years, where will you be? What will you be doing? What trips will you take? Who will be with you: what does it look like, feel like, smell like, who are you with, what are you wearing, what is making you smile?

Also Mike and I are getting great feedback on the MDC training call. We are taking apart the calls and doing them as a 3 week training module. The first 3 weeks will be devoted to the first call. The second 3 weeks will be devoted to the first follow up call and the third 3 weeks will be devoted to the final follow up and decision collecting call. First call greet/qualify/invite to online video/handle questions and objections/close to action. Second call follow up after the online video, greet/qualify/invite to webcast or one on one/handle questions and objections/close to action. How to Change Your Autoship
Hi! I just got a great question from Ron Betta out of Florida about how to change your autoship. Go to http://www.unitoday.com and log in. In the upper right hand corner is an organge bar with 4 or 5 options. One of them is "Autoship". Click that and your current autoship will come up. Click the "change" link and you are in business. Do not forget to "save" your changes. By playing with the autoship feature, you will discover that you can set up alternating autoships for yourself. I have an autoship A that ships one set of products every other month and an autoship B that ships another set of products every other month.

New Training Manual Is On The Way
I just received an advanced copy of the training manual and am going through it now.
In order to train on this we will probably make sure that all existing team members receive a digital copy of it. Mike is planning to have the manual professionally published and bound and fulfilled through usana pro tools. The manual will come with 2 CDs as well. Therefore there will be a nominal cost to cover the professional content. 7-10 dollars is what we are thinking now. Will keep you posted!

Robert Kioysaki Comes to MDC
Robert Kiyosaki is now on MDC. The Author or Rich Dad/Poor Dad and the Cashflow Quadrants among other best-selling business books is now on MDC! The programmers at MDC created a plug in module so that the videos change out but your template does not change. Just log in to MDC and go to the My Account Tab and click Template 04.

New Team Training System
Well, if you were on the call tonight Gwen and Freeda shared exciting information about the Las Vegas regional and Ouida shared information about her trip to Malaysia. Gwen and Freeda shared insights from the Diamond Directors and Ouida shared how appealing our opportunity is to people in Malaysia but also how most people in the US would see a marked improvement in their lives with an additional 25, 000 to 30, 000 coming their way each year.
