Suggestion on Hotel Room for Convention/ other convention info

Hi, everyone; This is where my downline is staying for convention; check with your own upline in our crossline group in case they have other plans; but I am sharing this so that others can join us if they want to. There is also other info below about the convention. GO GO GO to convention! Bye for now, Freeda

Here is the information on where we're staying for Usana International Convention August 22-25, and I encourage you that are going to stay here, too, so that we can meet and spend time together more easily. Crystal Inn, 230 West 500 South, Salt Lake City, UT. DO NOT RESERVE THIS BY GOING TO THE HOTEL'S WEBSITE OR BY CALLING THE HOTEL - DO AS EXPLAINED BELOW, BECAUSE IT IS A BLOCK RATE FOR THE USANA CONVENTION; AND I DON'T THINK THAT THE HOTEL ACTUALLY HAS ANY ROOMS AVAILABLE EXCEPT FOR THOSE IT IS HOLDING FOR USANA. THE BLOCK RATE IS $108 PER NIGHT! Please reserve your room NOW as I guarantee you this hotel will sell out as convention approaches. Many of the others, including ALL of the closer hotels, are already sold out. This hotel is 3 1/2 blocks from the Delta Center and the Salt Palace. This is the closest available hotel to the Delta Center and to the Salt Palace, where our meetings take place. There are more plush hotels, but I have found in the past that being closer to the convention site is much more important than the hotel itself. The Crystal Inn does look nice and has nice amenities; including free wireless internet, free hot breakfast, etc.

Here's how to get your hotel reservation: login at www.usana2day.com - click on 'Contests and Events' - click on 'International Calendar of Events' - click on August '2007 International Convention' link - click on 'Register' - click on 'Find a Hotel' - in the bottom right hand corner fill in the dates you will be staying, and then at the next page choose 'Crystal Inn'.

Since convention starts with 'Usana Fest', with the rock band Styx, at the Usana Amphitheatre on Wednesday night August 22, and the general assembly meetings start at the Delta Center early Thursday morning August 23, I strongly urge you to get to Salt Lake City early on August 22 (Wednesday) so you can complete your registration before the events start, and you don't miss anything. Also, convention doesn't end until early evening August 25 (Saturday), so I encourage you to wait until Sunday to fly home; you may still be wanting to go to the tour of Usana on Saturday evening if you haven't had a chance to see it before then.

Also, register for the convention, itself, at the same links indicated above, or by calling Usana at 801-954-7200. Use your free registration passes if you still have some. They are only good for a year from when you enroll in Usana! You can use them for your spouse, also.

Here's a taste of what the opening night 'Usana Fest' will be like: (see photo and text below) Call me with any questions about this information or convention. Best of Success, Freeda 502-425-8480 or 502-553-0241

Usana Fest:
With food, fun, and frivolity, USANAfest will start convention with a bang. Mingle with Dr. Wentz, Dave Wentz, Fortune 25 and Growth 25 members, and the USANA management team in a casual environment. Rock out with Styx, dance with other Associates, and celebrate 15 years of USANA. This is one party you don't want to miss!
The opening reception will take place Wednesday at the USANA Amphitheatre located at 5200 South 6200 West, West Valley City, Utah. You may board a bus at the Salt Palace Convention Center (south side on 200 S.) or you may drive to the reception.
Directions and Transportation
For driving directions view a map here. Buses will also leave the convention center and will run continually to and from the amphitheatre until closing.
Food and Beverages
For your convenience, concession stands at the amphitheatre will be selling food and beverages throughout the evening. Cash only.
Temperature Considerations
While August days in Salt Lake City tend to be quite warm, the evenings cool off. The USANA Amphitheatre is an outdoor venue so bring clothing to be comfortable throughout the evening.
