Round table breakfast with Mike made the entire trip worth while. The turn out was small for a variety of reasons, none of which seemed important when compared with the opportunity to gain the perspective of one who is retiring from active participation in the industry. Mike has moved his business into a trust to make sure the income for his family is protected. He said it is a great feelng to know that "my family's expenses are cared for so that I can go on to do other things." I also said that "if people knew what I know EVERYONE would be involved in network marketing."
We also talked about seeds and cultivating seeds...ideas. Mike said that unfortunately people have the seed planted in them that network marketing is a bad industry...a scam and then events happen that may or may not nurture that seed.
We also talked about the importance of community. Attending events...staying in touch both upline and downline. Blogs and community chat rooms.
I took notes and will share more as will Gwen.
